All dura lift springs meet the dasma standard rating of 10 000 plus door open and close cycles. In most cases you can determine the wind of your garage door torsion spring by using the color coded system on the cones at the end of the spring. There are two at either side of the door to help with the tensile strength of each spring even though the extension is separate from one another. They extend when the door is lowered and closed and retract as it opens.

Usually you will have two springs on your door which will be color coded. Both the winding and stationary cones are professionally installed for safe operation. A garage door generally has two extension springs one on each side of the door and runs parallel to the track. Door with an initial tension of 110 lbs.

Four p730 springs two on each side of the door can handle a 150 lbs. Most of the time the end on the right hand wind is red and the left and wind is black as you can see on the graphic below.
